How to Make Dryer Lent Paper<\/h1>\n

Step 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gather needed supplies-\u00a0 Dryer lent, screen, blender, warm water, container to soak the lent in, tub, piece of fabric, sponge, and if you have any old lent paper you can recycle it into new paper.<\/p>\n

Soak the lent in water for at lest 30 minutes but the longer the better. So if you have the time to soak it over night or longer that is great.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Place around 1 cup of the soaked lent into the blender. Then fill the remaining space of the blender with water and liquefy it.\u00a0 You may have to do this multiple times.<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pour the mush into the a tub until it is a few inches thick. Note: the screen must be able to fit into the tub. I used the bath tub this time so I laid the screen in the bottom of the tub to contain some of the mush and reduce the amount that was needed.<\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Use the screen to scoop the lent out of the water. Once the lent is evenly coating the screen remove from the water and allow to drip for a few seconds.<\/p>\n

Step 6:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Place the screen (lent side down) onto a piece of fabric. Use a sponge to press the lent into the fabric and soak up the extra water. Once this is done slowly lift screen so the lent is left on the fabric.<\/p>\n

Step 7:<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are making multiple pieces stack another piece of fabric on top and repeat steps 2 (if more lent is needed) – 6. Once you are done making the paper you can stack something heavy (such as books) on top to flatten paper and press out the remaining water. After several hours or over night remove the heavy objects and allow to dry completely.<\/p>\n

Once dry your lent paper is ready to use.<\/p>\n
