Homemade Ice Pack
Step 1:
Gather the supplies – Ziploc bag, water, rubbing alcohol, and tape.
Step 2:
Mix 3 parts water to 1 part rubbing alcohol in a zip lock.
Step 3:
Fold down the zipper and tape securely to help reduce the risk of leaking in the future.
Step 4:
Place in freezer to “freeze”.
Step 5:
These ice packs get ice cold but do not freeze completely solid. So they are still soft enough to mold. Just wrap in a towel and mold around the injury.
TIP: If you have children try adding a drop or two of food coloring into the water and rubbing alcohol mixture to make the ice pack their favorite color. In this one I have added a small drop of red to make pink.
