Homemade Ice Pack

Step 1:

Gather the supplies – Ziploc bag, water, rubbing alcohol, and tape.

Step 2:

Mix 3 parts water to 1 part rubbing alcohol in a zip lock.

Step 3:

Fold down the zipper and tape securely to help reduce the risk of leaking in the future.

Step 4:

Place in freezer to “freeze”.

Step 5:

These ice packs get ice cold but do not freeze completely solid. So they are still soft enough to mold. Just wrap in a towel and mold around the injury.

TIP: If you have children try adding a drop or two of food coloring into the water and rubbing alcohol mixture to make the ice pack their favorite color. In this one I have added a small drop of red to make pink.
