How to Make Homemade Fruit Roll-Ups/Fruit Leather

Step 1:

Gather supplies – 3 cups fruit (I used fresh peaches this time) and sweetener to taste (I used granulated sugar for this batch)

To prepare the peaches I blanched them, place them in a pot of boiling water for roughly 30 seconds removing them from the boiling water and placing them in an ice water bath. This causes the skins to peel off will just sight pressure. I then cut them in half to remove the pits.

Step 2:

Preheat oven to 150°F or the lowest setting of the oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3:

Puree the fruit and sweetener, I didn’t need much the peaches were already sweet, in a blender until smooth. Pour the puree into baking sheet. Spread, or tap the pan on the counter, until it is about 1/8 of and inch thick.

Step 4:

Place in oven and allow to bake for  6-8 hours until the pan is set and the center is no longer tacky. Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature. Cut into strips and roll up. Store in an air tight container.

NOTE: You can get creative with this recipe. You can use your favorite fruits or even mix fruit.
